The body shop technician will be responsible for performing bumper-to-bumper repairs and maintenance on diesel trucks, including Volvo trucks and vehicles with Cummins and MAC engines. This role involves engine overhauls (excluding engine rebuilds), transmission repairs, and hands-on mechanical work.Responsibilities
Perform bumper-to-bumper repairs and maintenance on diesel trucks, including Volvo trucks and vehicles with Cummins and MAC engines.
Conduct engine overhauls (excluding engine rebuilds).
Carry out transmission repairs.
Engage in hands-on mechanical work.
Inspect, repair, and diagnose issues with diesel trucks.
Work with diesel engines, diesel repair, diesel maintenance, and hydraulics.
Train newer technicians as needed.
Take an online course regarding Volvo software and repairs if not Volvo certified.
Essential Skills
Experience with diesel engines, diesel repair, and diesel maintenance.
Knowledge of Volvo and MAC trucks.
Ability to inspect, repair, and diagnose diesel trucks.
Understanding of hydraulics.
3+ years of experience preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
No specific education required.
No certifications required.
Diesel apprenticeship or program experience would be beneficial.
Must be punctual, have a positive attitude, be willing to learn, and ask questions when unsure.
