As an Operator Associate Apprentice, you will be a part of a team which manufacturers Fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts, co-catalysts and additives, Kaolin based microsphere intermediates, Alumina gel intermediates and more!Starting on or about January 13th, 2025, you…Will begin the Chemical Plant Operations academic program at Augusta Technical College while working and learning on site in our Savannah, GA site from some of the best in the business. During your time here we don’t want you to sweat the small stuff so BASF will cover the entire cost of your educational program, including books!When you’re not studying you will have opportunities to…Work hands-on in our Savannah, GA manufacturing plant learning to:

Operate major plant equipment and/or processes (pumps, valves, filters, screens, compressors, dryers, etc.) following standard procedures and practices, as well as participate in system improvement processes.

Maintain equipment and diagnoses problems to avoid shutdowns.

Drive/Operate a Forklift.

Keep records and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. This includes the ability to rate, ratio, percent and to draw as well as interpret bar graphs.

Responsible for product quantity and quality (including analytical testing).

If you

Have a HS Diploma or GED

Work in a plant environment and lift 50lbs.

Can work at heights.

Can climb ladders and stairs (e.g., fixed ladder, vertical ladders)

Can work outside in various weather conditions.

Can work 12hr fixed shifts (day OR night/weekends and holidays)

Are willing to enroll in an academic program to launch a career in Manufacturing
