As a Material Handler for Goodwill, you will assist our warehouse team with the transporting of goods through sorting, packing, and wrapping items. You will also work with different materials such as clothes, furniture and more! Your Impact:
Transporting gaylords, uprights, bins, pallets, and boxes to work areas.
Distributing items and salvage to appropriate areas within the warehouse and loading dock
Working with several different materials such as clothes, furniture, trash, and metal
Sorting, packing, wrapping, and transporting donated goods
Disposing of unsalable and unrecyclable items and trash
Documenting production numbers in a timely and accurate manner
Operating handling equipment such as pallet jack, hand truck, and forklift
Partnering with the donation attendant to help accept donations
Your Qualifications:
Enjoy working with handle hand trucks, pallets and fork lifts
Can lift or carry 40-60 lbs, and push or pull 100 lbs.
Can stand for long periods of time with frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting or pushing.
Has a sense of urgency to handle multiple tasks at once.
