- Shift = 1st (working 8-10 hours M-F)
- Pay = $25-30/hour (is not eligible for per diem)
- Duration = 6 months+
As a Pipe Mechanic/Installation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our lead welders, riggers, and ductwork personnel in the installation process. The ideal candidate should possess mechanical aptitude, some welding experience, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Safety consciousness and adherence to protocols are paramount in this role.
In this role, you will:
- Assist welders in fitting up pipe or ductwork - demonstrating welding ability or the capacity to tack weld.
- Assemble pipe and/or ductwork with mechanical proficiency.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and bill of materials.
- Work effectively on scaffolding, man lifts, or scissor lifts.
- Utilize rigging equipment as necessary.
Qualified candidates must have:
- High school Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of construction experience
- Capability to lift 75 lbs.
- Safety shoes are required (hard hat and safety glasses provided)
