Description SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST - GLOBAL SAAS COMPANY IN DULUTHThere is an imperative need for a Senior Financial Analyst in the Duluth, Georgia area by a client of Robert Half. You will provide strategic analyses and recommendations while being directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, and annual planning). You will deliver variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. The main responsibilities of this Senior Financial Analyst role will include developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. Explain monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

Grasp and define internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

Collect and observe forecasting reports

Sanction effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

Conduct weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

Assist Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

3+ years' experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

Previous public accounting experience, specifically in audit preferred

Adeptness in Cash Flow Forecasts and Analysis

Previous experience working with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau highly preferred

Earlier work involving HFM, Adaptive Planning, and/or SAP highly preferred

Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

Extremely efficient with financial reporting tools
