DescriptionThe Cooker Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the cooker and associated rendering equipment to produce a high quality finished product that will meet all food safety plan and production requirements.
Responsible for daily inspection of equipment to ensure safe operation, food safety and performance specifications.
Employee is responsible for communicating any issues with safety, Food safety plan or and production limitations with the management team.
Operator will monitor raw material bins, flow ways and all finished storage bins, to ensure proper food safety and production efficiency.
Must monitor all mechanical systems to report any safety, food safety plan or mechanical issues, and be able to react accordingly.
Preforms all necessary housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
May have to assist maintenance.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be capable of communicating in both oral and written formats.
Must have an understanding of the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
Must possess effective communication skills.
The employee is required to lift a minimum of 50lbs. The employee is often required to stand, sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Close vision acuity capability required for this position. Ability to cross-train personnel to replace position in the event of absence.
