Catering Waitstaff/Bartender (Part-time) Posting Number C00364JP Department Dining Service - Thorne Hall Job Summary Bowdoin College is located in Brunswick Maine with a student population of almost 2000. We make everything from scratch and are consistently rated in the top 10 for college dining! We have our own butcher shop, bakeshop, and organic garden that all supply food to our 2 dining halls and 3 retail locations. This position will primarily support our dining catering events.The Catering Waitstaff/Bartender is responsible for working various events on campus following standard procedures to facilitate service of food and beverages to Bowdoin College catering customers.
Pay rate: $23.00/hour + shift differentials
Education/Skills Requirements
Required:
High School Degree or equivalent
Must pass Maine Alcohol Server Course (B.A.S.I.C)
Demonstrated reliability and ability to work quickly and efficiently
Must be able to work independently in a team atmosphere
Must be neat and clean and demonstrate good personal hygiene practices
Ability to work cooperatively and closely with others.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Required:
No prior experience necessary. Willing to train the right candidate for the role!

Preferred:
Previous bartending experience
Demonstrated reliability
Some related experiences.
Standard Work Days and Hours
This position is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position.
Various shifts available and flexible hours, as needed for events on campus.
Willing to work with candidates on their availability.
