Fabricator
Responsibilities:
Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Set up and operate various fabrication machinery and tools such as shears, saws, bending machines, and welding equipment.
Cut, shape, and form steel components according to specifications, using appropriate tools and techniques.
Framing of structural skids and cuboid fuel tanks.
Perform accurate measurements and calculations to ensure precise dimensions and fit.
Weld, braze, or solder steel parts together using various welding techniques, including MIG & TIG.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet required standards and specifications.
Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and designers, to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Monitor and report on inventory levels of steel materials and supplies.
Adhere to production schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of projects.
Requirements:
Technical training in metal fabrication.
Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, including cutting, shaping, and welding.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience operating fabrication machinery and tools such as shears, saws, bending machines, and welding equipment.
Familiarity with various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG.
Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations to ensure precise dimensions and fit.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating with colleagues and superiors.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy steel materials and operate machinery.
