SUMMARY:
The Equipment Controls Warehouse Technician will work full-time 8-5PM, five days a week. M-F, with an occasional Saturday to ensure we are meeting our customers needs. The main qualifications for a Warehouse Technician role are physical fitness, be mechanically inclined to be able to work on equipment, competency in data entry, and knowledge of the safe operation of test equipment and machinery such as forklifts and hand-trucks. You should possess organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to work on a team and follow directions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping and receiving - Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to
verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
Load and unload freight using power industrial vehicles such as a forklift, lift, and power jack
Ensures the accuracy of shipments and receipts in systems and paperwork, prepares documents, such as work
orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
Pulling inventory to build and/or modify for outbound shipments
Staging, shrink-wrap skids, packs, seals, labels, and affixes postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work
devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter
All other duties and tasks assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
This is a physical position that involves lifting, lowering, and sliding boxes that typically weigh between 25-50lbs
Time management
Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details
Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office Suite)
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
Strong customer service skills
Proven, reliable team player
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or equivalent required
2- 3 yrs. warehouse experience
Forklift certified a plus
Aptitude for understanding and using machines and or tools
HVAC, piping, supply house, or gas utility experience is A PLUS
