Job Overview
The Maintenance Technicians will perform hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of mechanical systems daily in the warehouse. This position supports the daily achievement of production goals by ensuring the proper functionality of our machines & moving production along to meet customer deadlines.
Duties:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and schematics.
Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, utilizing your mechanical knowledge to fabricate and weld components as necessary.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, providing excellent customer service while addressing their needs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to develop preventive maintenance schedules and improve overall facility operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Responsibilities:
Sustain and Improve Preventative Maintenance Program on all processing equipment
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
Restore, maintain and upgrade processing line equipment
Control machine downtime by performing routine maintenance
Install and troubleshoot PLCs (programmable logic controller), and drives
Diagnosing system controls and software issues
Install facility lighting, wiring, machinery motors, electrical panels, breakers, airlines, water lines, or gas lines as needed
Identifying and correcting root cause of repetitive failures
Ensure equipment is in safe and good working conditions
Maintain working knowledge of food safety and quality of all products while performing maintenance
Qualifications:
Min 2 years’ experience in a maintenance department
2-5 years’ work experience with industrial maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing
Excellent knowledge of maintenance and operation principles, policies, and practices
Thorough working knowledge of PLC (programmable logic controller), pneumatic operated systems, schematics, one phase, two phases motors, all aspects of conveyor feeding and packaging
Able to perform basic mathematical functions
Able to perform predictive and preventative maintenance
Able to tolerate working in a cold, wet, and humid environment
Able to follow all safety, attendance, GMP, and HR policies
Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
Experience using computer-based reactionary/ preventive /predictive maintenance software systems
Experience in the food industry required working, working with meat is strongly preferred
Effectively communication, both orally and written

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
