Creative Manager - Children's Art Studio

Are you an experienced professional with a love for working with children and a passion for the arts? Join our team as the Creative Manager at a leading Children's Arts & Craft Studio in Sandy Springs, GA. Help lead our studio to new heights of excellence. This is a newly created position and a great opportunity for the right individual reporting to the principle and owner of the studio.

In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage projects, oversee instruction, help create fresh curriculum and research new trends. The right candidate, will have excellent organization and multitasking skill, strong ability for attention to detail, exceptional administrative skill, enjoy working with children, be self-driven, good problem solver and a passion for the arts.

Responsibilities:

Studio Operations: Ensure the efficient and effective daily operation of the art studio.

Planning Curriculum: Work with the Creative Director, research new trends and help design curriculum for children's art camps and classes.

Artistic Support: Provide support to the instructors in the studio, assisting with curriculum planning, creating samples and prototypes, and ensuring the maintenance of studio equipment and supplies.

Ensure that the studio is clean, tidy, and student-ready. This will require some light cleaning and/or lifting 35 pounds.

Maintain studio inventory, equipment, and supplies.

Represent La Dee Da Studio in the community - through classes, off sites, events, etc.

Program Management:

Design, create and implement new project ideas to inspire increased class participation.

Evaluate and supervise craft instruction for students ranging from young children (preschoolers - young teens) to seasoned adults for parties, classes, camps and creative events.

Ensure that materials are prepared for classes, camps, parties, and other programs.

Experience and Requirements

2-3 years working in a studio or small business environment. Management experience is helpful but not required.

Highly organized and systems-minded, with the capacity to develop and implement efficient processes and protocols. Comfortable taking on multiple responsibilities as needed.

Experience working with children aged 5-12, comfortable teaching adult students as well. Comfortable being in a leadership/instructor role.

Applicants must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 35 pounds and navigate around a studio environment (including stairs) as part of the job requirements.

Valid drivers license and access to a car is required.

Job Type: Full-time (temp to perm after 90 day introductory period)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Benefits: Paid time off

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed
