We supply Athens,Atlanta and surrounding area farmers markets and restaurants withquality, Georgia grown produce.
Georgia Proud Provisions works with farms that do not have the capacity to sell in our area. We are a distributor and run the operation from one warehouse.
What We Sell
Georgia peaches, strawberries, blueberries, pecans, apples, citrus and other delicious and nutritious, locally grown fruits.
Job Summary
Prepping farmers markets supplies, loading vehicles, unloading incoming product, organize and labeling products, fruit management, order fulfillment prep and general warehouse cleanup.
Work Hours
Early March: limited hours with strawberries, will pay hourly. Thursday + Friday for sure, other days as-needed
Mid May to early August, 9am - 3pm Monday - Friday
Early/mid May - early/mid August (our busy season), 9am - 3 Monday - Thursday; 10 - 6pm Fridays
Pay raise and flat pay rate from May into August when we are busy
Must be available consistently early/mid-May to early/mid-August
Mid-August is when we slow down but there is still work (apple season) - light warehouse work with reduced hours after peaches
we work all year with a break in February
Citrus November 1 - light warehouse work with reduced hours
Opportunity to work weekends as well for additional hours (work markets, delivery to markets, post-market unloading)
Optional hours: Saturday: 12:30pm - 3pm; Sunday afternoon for 2-4 hours
Requirements
Key skills/requirements: Able to lift minimum 40lbs., flexible schedule (9am arrival, no set end-of-day time).
Busy time is mid-May to mid-August. Three months straight of availability is required at a minimum.
Additional Duties
Emergency runs to deliver extra product to a local market sometimes occurs. Preference will be given to those driving a large capacity vehicle such as a wagon, van, pickup or SUV. A large vehicle is NOT a requirement. A clean driving record would allow use of company vehicle
Occasional emergency run to local restaurant (small amount of product)
Cleaning of supplies, warehouse floors, delivery vehicles
Trash and recycling handling
Duties will adjust when forklift driver is added in May. The second warehouse associate will focus on lifting fruit boxes, making and loading stacks for markets, general clean up, forklift unloading, ground and vehicle maintenance.

Ability to work in 55 degree temps and outside to 90 degrees, daily, is required
Compensation
$18/hr to start (strawberry season)
Peach season: Up to $24hr, incentive to get the work done: Paid a FLAT RATE weekly - $700/week when peaches arrive, up to $800/week after 2 weeks
