We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support in daily living activities and enhance the quality of life for individuals in need. This role is ideal for someone with a background in caregiving or social work, who is passionate about helping others and ensuring their well-being. The Personal Assistant will work closely with clients, assisting them with various tasks while respecting their dignity and independence.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping tasks.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations to promote emotional well-being.
Support clients with medication administration and monitor adherence to prescribed regimens.
Help clients manage appointments and transportation needs, ensuring they attend medical visits or social engagements.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status or behavior to appropriate parties.
Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
Uphold resident rights while providing care, fostering an environment of respect and dignity.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience or skills in the following areas:
Cleanliness and organization within a caregiving environment.
Knowledge of social work principles and practices.
Experience in caregiving, patient care, or dementia care.
Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities.
Understanding of resident rights and advocacy.
Ability to take vital signs and recognize health changes.
Proficiency in medication administration within a long-term care setting.
