We are seeking a talented and passionate Prep and Line Cook to join our kitchen team.The ideal candidate will have experience in prepping ingredients and cooking in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, with an understanding of contemporary Asian cuisine. If you have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and portion ingredients for cooking according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Cook and assemble dishes according to the menu and recipe specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
Ensure proper food storage and handling to maintain quality and food safety standards.
Assist with inventory management and ingredient ordering when necessary.
Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Follow all health and safety guidelines while handling food and kitchen equipment.
Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Prior experience as a prep cook or line cook in a professional kitchen (preferably in an Asian cuisine setting).
Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for contemporary Asian cuisine and a desire to learn and grow.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with contemporary Asian cooking techniques and dishes.
Culinary school education or formal training is a plus.
