Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pizza Cook to join our team. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pizzas according to our recipes and customer preferences. Your expertise in food handling, food safety, and culinary techniques will contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pizza dough by stretching, shaping, and topping it with various ingredients
- Monitor pizza cooking times in order to ensure that they are baked to perfection
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of pizzas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment
- Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed, such as food prep or dishwashing
- Assist in food ordering, ensuring we have a high health inspection score, and manage BOH staff
Skills:
- Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen tools
- Knowledge of food service industry standards and practices
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
- Experience in catering or working in a restaurant setting is preferred
