Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to set recipes
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor stock and communicate ordering needs to the Head Chef
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen equipment effectively
- Familiarity with food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
