This position if a lead cook position for production in our facility. Daily we are producing1000lbs or more of granola, energy bars or nuts. You will train for few weeks then, responsibilities include:
- Cooking product in 50-200 lb batches (baking). responsible for the finished product being cooked properly. reading recipes, creating dry and wet mixes, making sure when these are mixed that consistency is correct and then baking to the proper doneness.
- Work with the crew to maintain high standard of cleanliness, also understanding the various standards that are part of our SQF and HAACP protocol.
- Record keeping for the sake organic and gluten free certifications
- Some ordering of supplies
- Ability to communicate well and work in a focused but relaxed environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs no problem and be on your feet 8 hours day
- Transportaion and legal work status required. We are not on a bus line.
At least two years' experience as cook either in a restaurant or factory is strongly preferred.
Competitive pay - $17 hr + depending on experience with a raise after the training period.
The shift is from 6am-2:30pm.
