Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to work with a client on a contract basis to support their Accounting operations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong ERP system experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and providing insights for strategic decision-making. Must be willing to work onsite in Atlanta, GA at least 3 days a week.Key Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Assist with external audits and internal controls.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior role.
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
