Payroll Specialist

Description We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist based in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves the comprehensive management of payroll processes for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, adherence to regulations, and prompt resolution of any discrepancies. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately process biweekly payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines. Maintain and verify employee records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate. Regularly review and reconcile timekeeping data to ensure accurate payroll calculations. Comply with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including prompt tax filings and payments. Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management and auditing purposes. Collaborate effectively with HR and Finance departments to support employee benefits administration and reporting. Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
