The Manager, Portfolio Investments is part of the Portfolio Strategy and Investments team within Weyerhaeuser’s Corporate Development organization. This team, with diverse backgrounds in forestry, economics, corporate finance, investment banking, geographic information systems, and real estate, leads portfolio management across our 11-million-acre timberland portfolio, including strategy development, asset valuation and execution of value accretive transactions. This role is a key part of our team’s success, gaining broad exposure with cross-functional experts strengthening our competitive position across our business.The Manager, Portfolio Investments brings a mix of deep financial and timber business acumen and a passion for authoring data-driven recommendations focused on upgrading the portfolio and optimizing return on assets. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is energized by working on diverse projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position has the option to be based out of our Corporate HQ in Seattle, WA or our Atlanta, GA office. Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct portfolio valuation and key aspects of transaction diligence for strategic, large-scale timberland acquisitions and divestitures ($100 million)

Analyze large, complex data sets and partner with internal experts to develop informed valuations and data-driven portfolio recommendations to support A&D and Asset Value Optimization processes

Contribute towards investment thesis and value proposition for M&A targets

Manage a world-class suite of valuation tools and financial models

Lead cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve valuation and portfolio management tools and processes

Monitor the industrial timberland market, analyze comparable sales, and analyze pricing and operational metrics in strategic timber markets

Bachelors degree (or higher) in Forestry, Finance, Economics or related discipline; Masters/MBA preferred

5 years’ experience in forestry, finance or related industry, or combination of experience and graduate degree or relevant certifications

Proficient user of Microsoft applications, especially Excel; experience with SQL query preferred

Demonstrated interest in the forestry industry preferred

What We Offer: Compensation:This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $104,310 - $156,464 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
