The Demand and Supply Manager will act as a key collaborator between Revenue Management (RM) and Fleet, ensuring alignment between fleet planning and system integration to optimize overall performance. The manager will lead efforts to improve utilization across the Division for all business units, taking a holistic and granular approach to drive efficiency. They will revolutionize the ROI process by incorporating strategies for moving, renting, and selling assets to maximize value. Additionally, the manager will spearhead the development of compelling narratives around revenue blockers and market trends, capturing market activity/anomalies to inform decision-making.What You’ll Do:
Serve as the key connector between Revenue Management (RM) and Fleet, driving crucial conversations and guiding actions for short, medium, and long-term strategies to ensure alignment and achieve optimal outcomes.
Enhance demand forecast accuracy, in particular automating the Peak On-Rent Forecast, driving enhancements in fleet and revenue management processes by providing advanced notice on areas needing attention and ensuring proactive adjustments to fleet and resource allocation to effectively meet demand fluctuations.
Focused on analyzing the details of demand fluctuations, identifying the key drivers behind them, and effectively communicating with fleet operations to align resources and strategies for optimal performance.
Develop and incorporate an RPU maximizer tool to better equip the team with data-driven insights, enabling more informed decision-making. This tool will streamline the process of balancing demand with fleet allocation, providing actionable recommendations that optimize resource utilization and maximize revenue per unit.
Lead the ROI look-back analysis by measuring revenue against costs to evaluate the effectiveness of fleet moves to satisfy high-demand geographies.
Track revenue blockers closely and collaborate with operations to develop and implement effective solutions, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing any negative impact on overall revenue performance.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent required; preferably in Statistics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or Information Engineering. Advanced degrees in fields of study are strongly desired.
Minimum of 7+ years previous experience in revenue management, fleet, and/or logistics role
Experience within a complex, demand/supply planning environment utilizing large data sets
Process innovation and development; management via KPIs
Comprehensive understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing large datasets to relay actionable competitive insights.
Strong aptitude for evaluating complex supply/demand scenarios and devising strategic direction for short-, medium-, and long-term planning
Highly cross functional influencer with communication/storytelling skills at all levels; Is able to stay organized and show progress on several ongoing initiatives.
Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, prioritize tasks, and deliver results on time while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.
