- Driving projects through the development life-cycle, ensuring solutions are technically sound, meet operational requirements, and are delivered on time
- Developing project plans, schedules and milestones appropriate to the scale of the project, including testing plans
- Communicating and managing project risk factors and recommend actions to mitigate
- Communicating effectively with clients to identify needs and with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver projects on time and within budget
- Adhering to project management best practices and procedures to ensure quality
- Providing detailed reporting on project metrics
- Managing project and resource scheduling and overseeing the communications between teams
- Quickly understanding the business issues and technical challenges of the organization and industry
- Creating cost analysis and budget impact for technical solution based upon collaborative effort with other technical teams (Example: System Administrators, Database Administrators, vendor's, etc.)
- As required, managing project resources, including external vendors and to act as a central point for all day to day activities relating to projects
- Fostering and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues across a wide range of disciplines and levels of seniority
- Collaborating with executive management, Regional Entity management and staff, department leads, program leadership, and project team members to ensure alignment and integration of strategies, business process, projects, and programs for successful implementation and results
- 6+ years' experience managing end-to-end software development projects
- Strong background in infrastructure project management
- PMI-PMP Certification is a plus
- Strong background in the Government, Federal, or Cyber Security project management space is a plus
- Ability to tackle issues, and effectively work through issues without damaging relationships
- Extensive experience in working with senior level management and fostering client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
