This region includes: Florida, Georgia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for leading and developing all field personnel within their region to drive oncology product sales and activities. This role involves staffing, directing, and providing leadership to the team to achieve strategic objectives in alignment with the company's vision and values. The RSD will identify opportunities and challenges, develop and implement action plans, and ensure the growth and development of team members. Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders are essential.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily Oversight: Manage daily field activities to achieve regional results. Ensure sales representatives have direct accountability for their given geography and clearly understand performance expectations.Team Management: Lead and direct a team of sales representatives, ensuring that they are well-trained on product knowledge, sales skills, market conditions, strategy and tactics, corporate policies and procedures, and business planning models.Market Dynamics: Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.Collaboration: Ensure smooth, collaborative efforts in both day-to-day and long-term business execution.Leadership: Set the tone and pace for business processes and organization.Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant compliance laws, policies, and processes, ensuring full compliance by self and team.Business Planning: Provide direction and insights to key internal partners during the business planning process.Communication: Consistently communicate and collaborate with fellow RSD and internal colleagues to drive exceptional business results while maintaining high ethical standards.Technical Expertise: Maintain the required technical expertise to respond accurately to all questions regarding products, policies, and business-related issues from customers and representatives.Meeting Planning: Effectively plan and conduct action plans and other meetings with members of the Corporate Leadership.Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives and campaigns.Data & Analytics: Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize sales strategies.Market Access and Affordability: Ensure product availability and affordability by collaborating with market access teams to pull through sales based on access and affordability strategies.Patient Services: Partner with patient services colleagues to ensure a patient-centric approach and positive patient experience across the journey.Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership that demonstrate a command of the business and highlight regional performance and strategic initiatives.Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.PEOPLE LEADERSHIP:Coaching and Development: Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members to enhance individual selling skills and elevate overall team performance.Accountability: Hold direct reports accountable for behaviors and expectations.Staff Management: Interview, select, and supervise department staff; communicate, interpret, and discuss company policies and procedures with the team.Daily Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the regional team.Performance Standards: Partner with senior leadership to determine job objectives, work methods, and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives, discuss appraisals with each employee, and manage performance.Personnel Actions: Authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge, and administer all other personnel actions.PHARMACEUTICAL AND THERAPUTIC-AREA SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest oncology and urology products, treatments, and industry trends to provide accurate information and support to the team.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards, including FDA guidelines and other relevant authorities.Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with clinical teams to understand and communicate the clinical benefits and applications of oncology products.Patient Focus: Ensure that all sales activities prioritize patient safety and efficacy, maintaining a patient-centric approach in all interactions.Reasonable Accommodations: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB: This role requires a dynamic leader with strong management skills and emotional intelligence to align with our cultural values and drive business success in the pharmaceutical and oncology sectors.At least 5 years of documented people leadership preferably in oncology, urology, or specialty therapeutic area.Highly effective organizational skills to balance multiple priorities.Advanced business analytical skills to identify trends, opportunities and threats.Ability to solve problems and determine actions to drive business or overcome challenges.Documented successful field reimbursement management results and proven ability to analyze and plan sales activities based upon the local/regional market access landscape.Demonstrates solid clinical product knowledge, excellent judgment, and decision-making skills.Previous work with payers, GPOs, and hospitals with a demonstrated record of success and through understanding of contracting.Ability to create a culture of winning through full team engagement.Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance, develop talent, and facilitate team growth and advancement.Collaborates and can lead without authority across the organization.Travel 60% of the time on average#LI-SJ1
