Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.Your New RoleWarner Brothers Discovery is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician for the Techwood Maintenance department.Your Role Accountabilities
Electrician must possess a general working knowledge of electrical components, systems and structures, tools, test instruments, and proper procedures related to installation, start-up, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment associated with buildings. e.g., emergency diesel generators, UPS systems/batteries, static switches, fire suppression systems, paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches and switchgear breakers and controls.
Performs daily zone checks, identifying and/or making repairs; identifies other trade deficiencies to Work Order Control.
Works in conjunction with the Lead Electrician /Electrical Manager to perform Preventive Maintenance program for all electrical components and systems. e.g., emergency diesel generators, UPS, fire alarm, early warning systems, batteries, and breakers.
Follows lock out/tag out procedures and all NFPA 70 guidelines while work is performed.
Performs all other duties as required or as assigned by the Lead Electrician/Electrical Manager.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, operations manuals, control schematics, etc.
Troubleshoot, repair, and bypass building fire alarm systems, as required.
Understanding of generator fuel transfer and air start systems.
Operate Emergency Generator, UPS, and distribution systems supporting critical loads.
Provides input in developing long range planning for end-of-life equipment replacement.
This position supports 24/7 365 days a year at the Techwood campus and other off-site locations. Must be willing to work different shifts as required to support departmental needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible electrical experience required.
Must possess a general working knowledge of electrical components, systems and structures, tools, test instruments, and proper procedures related to installation, start-up, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems.
Critical System Experience in sequence and operation of; emergency diesel generators, UPS systems/batteries, static switches, fire suppression systems, paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches, and utility breakers and controls.
Monitors work practices to ensure correct procedures are being followed and provide assistance when necessary.
General understanding of above and below ground utility services, transformers, and distribution switchgear.
Must have strong written & verbal communication and be detail oriented.
Must be a self-starter and motivated. Must complete assigned tasks and duties on schedule.
Experience with building automation systems, MS office suite applications, and web-based training platforms.
Valid Driver’s License required.
