We look forward to learning about you.Primary Purpose:Manages components of current and future interoperable train control application lifecycle, including requirements development, system design review, change requests and enhancements, safety engineering support, and change management, while inclusively developing and leading a team.Principal Duties:
Is an NS PTC subject matter expert and provides critical input for system requirements, interfaces, and hazard mitigation and associated enhancements and changes
Prepares, reviews, and provides input focused on operational safety and efficiency on system documentation and change requests
Represents NS and provides feedback to vendors, industry-level interoperable train control committees, and NS departments regarding enhancements, defects, and new development of train control systems system
Defines and documents PTC system operational safety and efficiency needs related to NS transportation, engineering, information technology, and ATC (Advanced Train Control) applications and systems interfacing with the PTC system
Maintains strong knowledge of PTC, energy management, signaling, dispatching and NS transportation back office functions and interfaces
Manages aspects of NS internal and industry interoperability-required change and configuration management of PTC system and its components, including host and tenant operations, track data, and related CCM applications
Focuses on:
Systems engineering

Interoperability of NS PTC system
System change and configuration management
Safety engineering and system error & malfunction FRA reporting
Cultivates collaborative relationships with inter-departmental teams, vendors, and Class I railroads to leverage shared knowledge
