During the summer, interns will play meaningful roles in supporting internal and external stakeholders in various departments. Throughout the program, interns will expand their collaborative team skills, business-to-business acumen, technical knowledge and understanding of lending as it relates to insurance premium finance. Our internship offers exposure to senior leaders within AFCO Direct and a support network of mentors and peers.Internship FocusOperations

College/University major, minor and/or specific coursework desired – Finance, Insurance, Business Administration

Professional Interests – Business Analytics, Risk Management, Finance, Business Optimization, Insurance

Skill Sets – Excel, Quantitative Discipline, strong written and verbal communication skills, financial analysis

Interns will have networking opportunities with previous interns who are now employed with Truist. They will also have the ability to participate in a n internship kick-off event, and a n end of summer event.Work LocationRemote - VariousEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.1. Work with assigned area of the company (AFCO Direct insurance premium finance) to expand knowledge of B2B lending, the insurance industry and the company.2. Complete specific projects for departments.3. Assist department staff with various tasks in support of business.4. Participate in internship meetings and discussions across Truist and AFCO Direct.At the end of the internship period, be prepared to:· Share a presentation that outlines your internship experience· Meet with the internship committee to evaluate the experience· Evaluate future career objectivesRequired Skills and Competencies:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
