Ledgent Technology is actively looking for an IT Business Systems Analyst for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with our client based out of Atlanta!

Candidates MUST have prior/current experience working with Software Development teams

Under supervision by the Sr. Project Manager, the Business Systems Analyst analyzes and documents current systems functions and recommends changes to existing applications or interfaces. Works with technical team to implement and test changes, and supports users on existing information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key customer relationships.
  • Possess familiarity with insurance industry; develop knowledge of internal operations, and technology practices/systems to optimally serve customer projects.
  • Drive efficient project collaboration by brokering communication between technical teams and customers.
  • Run project workshops for requirements elaboration.
  • Elicit and document knowledge from subject-matter experts.
  • Document business user processes and requirements for coding systems or programs including the data sources to be utilized.
  • Prepare needs assessments and perform preliminary cost benefit analysis in order to align business needs and initiatives.
  • Consult with business users to identify current business operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison with subject-matter experts (SME's) for all appointed applications and systems.
  • Steward Business Analysis (BA) Center of Excellence with associated best practices and project artifacts.
  • Mentor less experienced Business Systems Analysts (BAs).

Other
  • Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficient with - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, editing PDF's; Experience with collaborative project management solutions such as MS DevOps, JIRA, Asana, etc.
  • Experience reading and creating process diagrams, concept maps, etc. preferred
