We are seeking an experienced Traveling Electrician with strong electrical and data cabling skills to support retail and facility projects nationwide. This role requires extensive travel and hands-on expertise in electrical systems, lighting, and low-voltage/data wiring.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, lighting, and power connections.
Run, terminate, and test data cabling (CAT5, CAT6, etc.) for networking and communications.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and low-voltage issues on-site.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
Coordinate with other trades and maintain clear communication with project managers and clients.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and testing results.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or electrical apprenticeship preferred).
Minimum 3 years of professional electrical experience, including data cabling.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, testing meters, and cable certification equipment.
Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and multi-day trips.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel hubs.
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
