Vacancy caducado!
Hi,
My name is Yasemin, and I am looking for a full-time live-in caregiver for my dad (primary responsibility) and housekeeper (secondary responsibility whenever my dad is resting)
About our Family/Home:
We live in Miramar. You will be living with my family in our home. We have a 6-bedroom house in a gated community and have 2 children ages 9 and 15. We have 2 cats also. We are a Muslim family who don’t eat pork or drink alcohol or do any drugs, so none allowed while employed with us. I am a university professor and a family mediator, and my husband is a businessman who works from home.
About My Dad/Work Duties:
My dad is 91 years old and has advanced stage Alzheimer’s and Dementia. He can walk a little, but he is mostly wheelchair bound and sleeps a lot. You will share a room with him because he wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes and needs assistance. There are 2 single beds in his room with nightstand and drawers and a sizable closet where you can put your personal belongings. My dad needs to be showered almost daily. Also, he wears disposable underwear which needs to be changed regularly at least 4-5 times a day. You need to help him take his medicines every morning and evening sometimes by crushing it and putting it inside his food. You need to help him go to the bathroom and help clean his private parts with gloves and sanitizing wipes after each bathroom use. If this is something that you can't do, then this job is NOT for you. My dad can get irritable and throw tantrums like a toddler, so you need to be physically and emotionally fit to handle his occasional outbursts and yelling. You need to make sure his bed sheets and clothes remain very clean at all times on a daily basis and that he has healthy food to eat 3 times a day all of which we will provide. Since you will live at home there will almost always be food cooked each day at home, but you are also expected to cook for yourself and for my dad too if there happens to be no cooked food that day, so you need to know some basic cooking.
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
We have a separate live-in female house manager / nanny from the Philippines who you will be assisting with house chores whenever my dad is resting. Chores that you will help her with include: 1) keeping the ground floor of the home clean and tidy on a daily basis, 2) assistance with cooking meals, 3) doing laundry, 4) tidying up the house, downstairs bathroom which you and my dad will use and small backyard and helping prepare, host and serve during occasional gatherings in the home.
Job Specifications:
You will work 6 days a week and you will have 1 WEEKDAY off. You may from time to time need to accompany my dad to the doctor visits or take him or the kids on school, sports or related outings occasionally, so you have to have a valid a driver’s license and driving experience, but you don't have to have a car as you can use our cars. Since my dad needs 24/7 care, there is no set hours for this work though in general he wakes up around 9am and goes to bed around 9pm but you will have loads of free time during the day to pursue any personal goals you may have when my dad is resting and when you are done with basic house chores. On the day that you take the day off, the house manager/nanny will take on your duties that is why you and she cannot take the same days off and she always takes Sunday off. You will cover for her on her day off and do some of her work in return. I need someone who can speak English as we don't speak Spanish! I don’t need you to have any qualifications, certifications, licenses or even be a U.S. citizen. I just need you to be very caring, responsible, self-motivated, gentle, patient, smiling, hardworking, calm, mild-tempered, ethical and have no clinically diagnosed mental illness and drama-free please. Our home is strictly smoke-free. Any nationality, ethnicity, or background is ok as long as you are a female. We just need a good human being to live with us and help us and be a part of our family. You will be paid $2000 monthly net income that you can save since you will have zero expenses! No rent, electricity, water or internet bills, no grocery bills and I will cover your all sanitary and hygiene supply as well. So, you won’t have any out-of-pocket expenses thereby you will be able to save your $2000 monthly easily and if you need to send it to your family in another country, I will pay for the monthly wire transfer fee as well. I tried to be as detailed as possible. The picture attached is my dad with a few family members. I need someone who can start ASAP on a trial basis to assess your qualifications and make sure you are happy and to make sure you are a good fit for our family.
