Memorial Day to Labor Day: The Hamptons, NY (Live-in, with provided accommodations)
Schedule: 5 days a week, must be flexible with days of the week worked.
About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Private Chef to provide exceptional culinary services for a couple residing primarily in Palm Beach, FL, with a seasonal move to The Hamptons, NY, during the summer. The ideal candidate will be creative, adaptable, and passionate about delivering high-quality, personalized meals.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Planning and Preparation: Design and prepare a variety of meals tailored to the dietary preferences of the couple, ensuring a balance of nutrition, flavor, and presentation.
Grocery Shopping: Source and purchase the freshest ingredients, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
Kitchen Management: Keep the kitchen clean and orderly, manage inventory, and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
Menu Development: Create seasonal menus that reflect the couple's tastes and preferences, incorporating fresh, local, and organic ingredients.
Event Catering: Occasionally cater small dinner parties or special events, providing exceptional dining experiences for guests.
Travel: Accompany the couple to The Hamptons during the summer months, living on-site and maintaining the same high standard of culinary services.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Private Chef.
Culinary Skills: Expertise in a variety of cuisines, with a strong emphasis on healthy, gourmet cooking.
Education: Formal culinary training preferred, but not required.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and requests, with a willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Cleanliness: Strong attention to detail in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to take direction and feedback.
Confidentiality: Discretion and respect for the privacy of the couple.
Requirements:
Living Accommodations: Willingness to live on-site in The Hamptons during the summer months, with accommodations provided.
Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for grocery shopping and other errands.
