Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry for a Staff Accountant. This position is located in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in multiple facets of accounting, including analyzing financial data, preparing journal entries, and liaising with both internal and external auditors. Responsibilities Analyze current accounting procedures and recommend necessary changes to streamline operations Assist in the preparation of sales, property, and other tax documents as required Control and verify financial transactions to monitor fiscal risks Carry out regular and prompt financial audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness Prepare journal entries for assigned accounts and undertake financial statement reconciliations and analysis Assist with financial planning processes and budget preparation Provide fiscal advice to management and perform periodic financial reporting Maintain documentation of business transactions by applying auditing policies and procedures Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes Participate and provide accounting support during company projects Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position. Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations. Strong understanding of General Ledger management. Capable of making accurate Journal Entries. Proven ability to handle Month End Close activities. Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting operations. Experience with Oracle accounting software. Familiarity with QuickBooks is desired. Knowledge of SAP software for accounting practices. Prior experience in Audit procedures.
