Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Electrical Take-Off Specialist to join our Estimating Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately review and analyze electrical drawings and specifications to provide comprehensive material and quantity counts. The take-off data will be critical in supporting our estimating team during the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze electrical blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to extract material and quantity information.
Perform accurate counts of electrical components, such as lighting fixtures, switches, panels, conduit, and wiring.
Maintain organized and detailed records of all take-off data for internal review and project estimation.
Collaborate closely with the Estimating Department to provide timely and accurate data for bid preparation.
Identify discrepancies or missing information in project documents and communicate findings to the appropriate teams.
Use take-off software tools to streamline data extraction when applicable.
Stay up to date with industry standards, materials, and best practices for electrical installations.
Qualifications:
Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
Software Skills: Experience with take-off and estimation software (such as Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar tools) is preferred.
Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in counting and documenting material quantities.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with the estimating team.
Preferred:
Experience in commercial or industrial electrical projects.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
