We are looking for an experienced Sewing Sample Maker who can accurately and efficiently sew first samples from patterns and sketches. This role is key to our production and design process, ensuring the fit, quality, and craftsmanship of each piece meets our standards before final production.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct high-quality garment samples from initial patterns, sketches, or technical packages.
Work with delicate and luxury fabrics including lace, silk, organza, and tulle.
Collaborate closely with designers and patternmakers to test and refine fit and construction.
Make adjustments or suggest improvements for pattern or construction efficiency.
Maintain accuracy and quality control throughout the sewing process.
Perform hand-sewing, finishing, and pressing as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in garment sewing, preferably in bridal or high-end fashion, couture.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern interpretation, and fabric handling.
Skilled in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Preferred:
Experience with bridalwear, couture techniques, or sample room settings.
Familiarity with alterations or draping techniques.
