Job description
Responsibilities:
1. Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting in residential spaces according to the specifications provided.
2. Surface Preparation: Inspect and prepare the surface for carpet installation, including removing old flooring, smoothing or leveling the subfloor, and ensuring it is clean and dry.
3. Tools and Equipment: Utilize various tools and equipment such as carpet knives, power stretchers, seam rollers, and adhesives to properly install and secure carpeting.
4. Pattern Matching: Pay attention to pattern alignment and ensure that patterns match seamlessly in the case of patterned carpets. Experience with cut pile and loop pile.
5. Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their preferences, provide recommendations, and address any concerns related to the carpet installation process.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of work by checking for visible seams, proper stretching, and overall aesthetic appeal of the installed carpet.
7. Timeline Management: Complete installations within agreed-upon timelines, coordinating with clients and managing project schedules effectively.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience as a carpet installer with a portfolio of completed projects.
2. Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of carpeting materials, adhesives, and installation techniques.
3. Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and precision to ensure a high-quality finish.
4. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy rolls of carpet, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
5. Tools: Own and maintain necessary tools and equipment for carpet installation.
Classification: Independent Contractor (1099)
Note: As a 1099 contractor, the individual is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other business-related expenses. They are not entitled to benefits typically provided to employees.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
