Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Water Restoration Technician to join our team in Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL. This role involves responding to emergency water damage situations, performing mitigation services, and ensuring the proper restoration process. The ideal candidate is reliable, motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to emergency water damage calls, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Perform water extraction, structural drying, and content manipulation.
Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, moisture meters, etc.).
Conduct moisture inspections and document findings with reports and photos.
Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials as needed.
Assist in mold remediation and sanitation procedures.
Maintain and clean restoration equipment regularly.
Provide professional and compassionate customer service.
Work with project managers, insurance adjusters, and other team members.
Follow industry standards (IICRC), OSHA safety guidelines, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or GED (required).
IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
1+ years of experience in water mitigation, restoration, or related field (preferred).
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in various conditions.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Familiarity with restoration software (Xactimate, MICA, Encircle) is a plus.
