Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sushi preparation and presentation. Responsibilities include preparing sushi rolls, sashimi, and other traditional dishes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong knife skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri according to established recipes and customer preferences
Ensure all sushi dishes are prepared and presented to high standards of quality and consistency
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi station and adhere to food safety standards
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
Train and mentor junior sushi chefs as required
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
Food safety certification preferred
