Functions Technology mission is to optimize Citi's Technology environment by delivering world class applications, driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Controls, Internal Audit and Risk, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for Citi.The Engineering Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, build and deployment of Workday Integrations, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.Responsibilities:

Ensure the goals of functional area are delivered to appropriate Operations & Technology (O&T) organizations.

Oversee O&T spending to ensure the firm's finances are budgeted and spent according to the Chief Technology officer’s (CTO) technology strategies.

Responsible for Managing day to day Production operations and resource planning for new Workday Integration development.

Oversee the capacity planning of Backlog and Project space.

Manage the team’s day-to-day assignment and delivery of Workday Integration bug fixes and enhancements.

Manage the vendor relationship with high standards and provide regular feedback.

Define technical processes, procedures, and governance around Workday backlog and Change management.

Stay current with Workday releases and updates, evaluating new features and adoption.

Work with Business Partner to define the requirements for work requests and create a solution feasibility report.

Perform post-mortem reviews of the monthly work requests or change requests that are released in production with team members.

Manage overall execution of IT strategy and roadmap for the technology area

Provide expertise and consultation to Business partners to support the automation of integration between applications and keep the data secure.

Manage risk and provide escalations of any gap in requirement, delay in Software delivery, both internally and externally, to ensure transparency to all parties.

Responsible for training and coaching team members, performance management activities, monitoring quantity and quality of work, and addressing development needs for assigned personnel.

Impact engineering through overseeing planning, finances / budget, end results and policy setting

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Incident Management with Vendor – Manage Software development issues during Integration build and requirement gaps when they occur.

Work with Vendor to understand software periodic service updates and plan ahead to do the impact analysis and regression testing to ensure integrations are defect free.

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience in HR Data Engineering role with commensurate experience in people management.

At least 5 years of experience in managing Integration technical team in Workday HCM application.

Strong proficiency in Custom Reports, Workday Integration tools, Studio, Security Frameworks.

Experience in working on multiple Workday Upgrades and strategize feature releases.

Experience and hands on knowledge of XML, XSLT, RaaS/REST/SOAP Web Services in Workday.

Strong understanding of Integration patterns and best practices.

Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment

Project Management experience

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices

Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams

Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

Proven track record of operational process changes and improvement

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Workday Integration Certifications preferred
