Basic purpose of the position:
Comply with government regulations (EPA, FRA and OSHA) and company recognized standards while safely performing the transfers of hazardous and non-hazardous products of railroad and trucking tank cars.
Starting pay: $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities: Perform the duties associated with transfers of products to include, but not limited to:
Climbing to heights of between 15 feet to 20 feet to perform inspections
Climbing on to top of tank cars and tank trucks to inspect and seal trailers
Operate various types of mechanical equipment - including small farm type tractors and golf carts
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to change oil, starters, batteries, and clutches
Perform equipment maintenance and inspection on all assigned equipment and hand tools
Perform housekeeping duties as required by site management
Comprehension and compliance with all requirements of safety audit to include but not limited to maintaining hazardous waste transfer, facility logs, and manifests
Prepare products for transferring, such as heating, sparging, and sampling
Education Requirements:
High School education or ability
Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements:
Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions
Ability to frequently climb, using various types of ladders, to heights in excess of 20 feet
Constantly required to use bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, climbing up/down ladders and walking motions on uneven surfaces throughout the entire work shift
Ability to occasionally walk 5 miles in a 3 hour period and occasionally walk up to 10 miles in a shift
Ability to frequently grip forces of up to 80lbs Ability to lift, pull, carry, push weights and forces of up to 60lbs
Ability to stand, bend or climb for periods of time greater than 2 hours Must be able to hear and communicate, work or safety instructions spoken in a normal voice
Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed
Must meet criteria for the use of respiratory protective equipment
Must be able to wear full body hazmat suit as required
Must have auditory and visual acuity, tracking, inspecting Must be able to work independently Possess the equilibrium and ability to frequently cross 3-4 foot open spans at heights up to 20 feet
Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
