On Thursday June 20, 2024, we will be holding focus groups on Zoom from 10am to 11:30am Eastern and 2:00pm to 3:30pm Eastern. You will indicate below which focus group you would like to participate in. You WILL NOT be allowed to participate in both focus groups.
This is a mock jury where people will give their opinions of a real civil case. The pay is $25/hour which you will be paid via PayPal at the end of the session.
If we are able to accept you as an attendee, we will respond with a confirmation and a confidentiality agreement to be completed and returned. Please monitor your inbox and spam folder for emails. Once the confidentiality agreement is returned you will receive a link to the Zoom meeting. Due to the number of applications, we are not able to respond to those that we cannot accept.
The following rules apply. If you are unable to meet these requirements during the session, you will be removed:
1. You must be present during the entirety of the focus group. (We will take breaks.)
2. You must keep your camera on.
3. During the session, you must sit in a quiet place free of distractions with good lighting and a stable internet connection. (Joining from your cell phone or while sitting in your car is not sufficient.)
4. You must sign a Confidentiality Agreement and agree to be recorded. (The recording is only for trial preparation purposes and will not be disseminated.)
5. The information you provide in your application must be truthful.
6. If you have to be removed from the Focus Group for any reason you will not be paid.
a. Reasons for removal include but are not limited to, being off camera for 5 minutes, difficult to understand, and/or poor internet connection.
