The Senior Data Visualization Developer serves as a senior developer and subject matter expert (SME) in data Visualization development. This role will work closely with the leadership and data science team to transform various data sources into meaningful dashboards and reports for the business. Focus on this role will be on Data Visualization & Storytelling, including the development of visual representations of data leveraging proven best practices to meet unique client needs. The ideal candidate for this role will be a professional with a passion for and innovative approach to data visualization and developing ground-breaking products. Your work will include research, design, and development of new web-based visualization capabilities. These capabilities will be used by partners to explore data and outcomes through visual analysis.The Sr. Data Visualization Developer is a hands-on role responsible for designing and creating compelling and insightful data and advanced analytics visualization applications for executive-level stakeholders.Work will be performed primarily onsite in the Tampa headquarters with some remote capabilities. Candidate should be able to:" Design, develop, and implement advanced visualization applications and executive-level interactive dashboards to communicate advanced analytics models and solutions" Engage with stakeholders and advanced analytics business partners to understand business needs and translate requirements into advanced visualization designs and sustainable tools" Collaborate with data scientist to understand models and advanced analytics solutions and identify optimal approaches report dynamic outputs through impactful visualizations" Establish subject matter expertise and strongly influence our data visualization strategy" Use critical thinking to solve complex problems at scale" Proactively identify data gaps, errors, anomalies, inconsistencies, and redundancies in the content, structure, and relationships within databases" Compile, organize, assemble, and visualize common data layers" Work with other product teams to integrate data sharing and exploration capabilities" Works on complex, major or highly visible tasks and projects as a project team member, sometimes as a project lead." Brings deep expertise in data visualization tools and techniques in translating analytics needs into data visualization and semantic data access requirements." Works with data engineers to facilitate technical design of complex data sourcing, transformation and aggregation logic, ensuring analytics requirements are met." Ensures functional and non-functional visualization requirements are met." Provide technical leadership for the definition and development of test plans and system documentation for analytics solutions." Develops reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, as needed." Evaluates new visualization tools and approach and performs research on best practices." Show strong team building and creative thinking skills, and a desire to "make a difference".Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:" Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science or other quantitative field." 6+ years of experience within Business Intelligence or Data Science field with a focus on Data Visualization" 4+ years of hands-on professional creation of advanced data visualization and self-service tools and dashboards" 4+ Years' experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, semantic data access mechanisms. Other tools will be considered a plus. Tableau is actively utilized." Solid understanding and usage of data and data base technologies (data analysis, data prep, ETL, SQL, BI, etc.). Tableau Prep is actively utilized." Demonstrated technical ability with Python/JavaScript data analytics and visualization libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)" Familiarity with Python, R, Java, MATLAB, Scal, SQL as well as basic notions of front-end frameworks (React, Angular)" Skill in data visualization development, spatial and statistical analysis, advanced calculations, and developing interactive visualizations and demonstrated experience creating graphical user interfaces, mockups, prototypes, and design documents." Experience testing and validating software capabilities" Experience in driving analytics-enabled process innovation." Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions." Knowledge of relational databases and database design." Experience in Agile Environments / Methodologies" Experience in an environment of rapid development and delivery" Deep understanding of Data Governance" Deep understanding of Data Modeling
