Job Description:
As a Construction Estimator / Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for estimating project costs, managing budgets, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule. Your expertise in project management and cost estimation will be vital to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to project goals.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, budget performance, and any potential issues.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Resolve any project-related issues or conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other relevant records.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator and/or Project Manager in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficient in construction estimation software and project management tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
