FDOT is requesting staff to assist with the review of security logs and analytics tools. This includes:1. Review Splunk logs for patterns and indicators necessary for incident investigations.2. Create security-minded correlation reports, alerts, and dashboards in Splunk.3. Knowledge transfer to FDOT staff on the developed security dashboards and alerts.4. Review log data produced natively by firewalls and end-point detection and response tools for security indicators that support incident investigations.Providing intel/recommendations based on monitoring and reviews.

Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields. Or equivalent work experience.

Experience Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. Experience in areas such as data communications software and hardware, network administration, support, and maintenance.

Primary Job Duties/ Tasks The activities this candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for developing business and technology standards and best practices for department. Overall responsibility for all network operations work, including the integration of new network technologies such as wireless. Develops enterprise service levels for data and voice networking equipment and for both in-house and third party software applications. Oversees development of procedures and processes for enterprise network operations. Responsible for ensuring that the enterprise has the capability to support new technologies and maintain high levels of network performance and reliability.

Job Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) The knowledge, skills, and abilities desired for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Skilled in the use of Splunk logs.2. Ability to decern patterns and indicators necessary for incident investigations.3. Skills necessary to create security-minded correlation reports, alerts, and dashboards in Splunk.4. Ability and necessary skills to educate FDOT staff on the developed security dashboards and alerts.5. Ability to review log data produced natively by firewalls and end-point detection and response tools for security indicators that support incident investigations.6. Ability to discern and articulate intel/recommendations based on monitoring and reviews.7. Knowledgeable with Florida Administrative Code 60GG-2 Information Technology Standards
