We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable.Job Summary:As the Lead Director of Strategic Planning on our Sales Insights & Effectiveness team, you will be responsible for leading high-profile projects that support the growth, development, and impact of our frontline sales and account management professionals within Commercial & Specialty Markets, a $30B business that serves over 17 million members. You will provide analysis, guidance, and direction in areas such as Talent and Organizational Design. You will also build relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional team members to support various initiatives.The Lead Director of Strategic Planning independently addresses short-to-mid-term business opportunities and tackles longer-term issues with limited supervision. This role may also oversee small-scale cross-enterprise initiatives and concurrently serve as a team member on cross-functional initiatives based on direction from senior leaders.Position is remote, and candidates may reside in any location.Examples of recent projects led by incumbents in this role include:

Learning & Development - Spearheading the strategic planning and execution of the Customer Success Management (CSM) learning strategy in collaboration with the enterprise learning team, field leaders, and key business stakeholders. This includes the development and implementation of onboarding toolkits for various field roles, as well as managing the steering committee with senior leadership. Additionally, partnering with external vendors to ensure that professional development resources are fully utilized and meet success metrics.

Streamlining Processes - Concentrating on understanding and designing processes that automate tasks and provide time back to the field, enabling them to be more strategic and consultative. Examples include Stop Loss Selling Strategies, Marketing Sales Insights, Plan Document Administration, and addressing Compliance and Regulatory needs (RxDc, MHP, State requirements).

Advocacy and Liaison - Acting as an advocate for field colleagues to identify pain points and implement proactive measures to alleviate their administrative burdens. Serving as a liaison to internal business partners to ensure that solutions are designed to be efficient and do not impose unnecessary burdens or complicated processes.

Key responsibilities of the Lead Director of Strategic Planning include:

Prepare and communicate strategic operational business, financial, and expense plans.

Lead research that identifies the root cause of business issues

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement plans that address and solve business issues.

Monitor and report on performance relative to plans.

Stimulate strategic thinking in support of business direction.

Develop communication vehicles such as presentations and speeches.

Ensure the use of consistent, efficient, and cost-effective processes and procedures.

Manage special projects that impact the entire organization.

Assist in preparing advocacy material.

Effectively manage the organization's resources including staff, expenses, capital, and assets

Essential Qualifications:

A least 6 years of leadership experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in management consulting, financial analysis, project management, operations management, sales and/or marketing

Experience with mid-sized cross-functional initiatives, with a moderate to high degree of complexity

constituents.

Experience developing analysis, presentations, and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory but beneficial):

Master's degree is desired.

Lean background experience

Experience with Talent and Organizational design

Demonstrated relationship management skills at peer levels within an organization and external.

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
