Now offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new, external candidates for this major expansion! 2nd Shift is approximately Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm Eastern Time We are currently seeking a Warehouse Group Leader to join our team. The Warehouse Group Leader will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. This individual will lead a team of warehouse associates, driving productivity, fostering teamwork, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout all processes. What can you expect to do?
Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure performance targets are met.
Plan and prioritize daily activities within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and products.
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits.
Implement and enforce safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or shipments.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools to track inventory movements, generate reports, and streamline operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting teamwork, accountability, and open communication among team members.
What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in effectively managing and motivating teams.
Solid understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
