Venetian Flowers is a small local business looking for the right part time or full time candidate to join our team.
The right candidate will:
Contribute to creating a positive store image.
Follow and obey all traffic laws and regulations.
Must be able to use the GPS but safely and not while the vehicle is moving.
Understand and interpret Delivery Manifest.
Accurately obtain photos for proof of delivery and follow up with texting the recipient or sender.
Understand store operation procedures.
Comply withNO SMOKINGinside the delivery vehicle policy.
Follow through with all assigned tasks.
Be available for extra hours during all major holidays.
Participate in all routing and deliveries for the major floral holidays.
Perform store maintenance duties such as basic housekeeping, mopping, sweeping, cleaning, care and handling of floral product, product maintenance, etc. when not delivering.
Requirements:
All Candidates must have a clean driver's record and a good understanding of the delivery area.
They must be able to work extended hours during the holidays and able to lift up 70lbs.
They must have the flexibility of working in the facility which can include basic housekeeping as well as moving supplies and the processing of flowers if needed.
Driver must check all orders that are in their delivery area to make sure all attachments are included with the order (Chocolates, Balloons, Pop Up Cards, Plush)
They must be aware of all-time sensitive orders which can include Funerals, Businesses and DTW orders and timed delivery requests.
Drivers must dress appropriately to company standards and must wear closed toe shoes with rubber soles at all times.
Drivers must be aware of the mileage on their assigned vehicle and to make sure to inform the manager when Maintenance is due.
The vehiclemust be kept clean at all times.
Drivers must complete their confirmations within the time required by the company.
The right candidate will have a caring and friendly personality.
This is a strict drug free environment workplace.
We often have events on the weekends and you will be asked to assist with deliveries for weddings and rental items. Some of the items are heavier and will require heavy lifting.
