We are seeking experienced Pipe Layers to run RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe) operations. This individual will serve as the lead on site for heavy civil utility work.

Schedule: 40+ hours per week (up to 50 hours)
Start Time: 7:00 AM Daily

Requirements:
Must have current OSHA Certification
Experience with RCP Installation
Must be able to lead a pipe crew
PPE & Tools:
No special tools or PPE required beyond standard work gear.

Position Summary:
The Lead RCP Pipe Layer is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation of reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) for stormwater, sewer, or drainage systems. This role requires extensive experience in pipe laying, the ability to lead a crew, read and interpret construction plans, and ensure that all work meets safety and quality standards. The Lead Pipe Layer works closely with site supervisors and other crew members to maintain productivity and job site efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and participate in the installation of RCP for storm drains, sewer lines, and other utility systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and construction plans to determine pipe laying layout and depths.
Ensure the proper alignment, elevation, and grade of installed pipe using laser levels, transits, and other equipment.
Direct and train pipe laying crew members including laborers and equipment operators.
Communicate with the site foreman and project managers regarding progress, issues, and material needs.
Verify and maintain pipe installation quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and local regulations.
Coordinate trenching, bedding, and backfill operations with equipment operators.
Inspect materials before installation and identify any defects or issues.
Enforce safety protocols and lead by example to maintain a safe job site.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and material used.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a pipe layer with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Proficient in the installation of RCP and associated infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of grade reading and trench safety requirements.
Ability to operate hand tools and pipe-laying equipment.
Skilled in working around heavy equipment in excavation environments.
Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to safety practices.
Strong communication and team leadership skills.
Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
