Job Title: Welder
Education: High School Diploma of GED equivalent
Pay: $20-$23 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, specializing in welding steel, stainless steel and aluminum components based on blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate needs to have a minimal three (3) years of experience with various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and will ensure high-quality fabrication that meets industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.
Perform welding operations using MIG and TIG on steel, aluminum and stainless-steel types of material like channel, tubing, flat plate and angle.
Cut, grind, and prepare metal components for welding using hand tools and power tools.
Set up own fabrications using clamps, jigs and other fixtures to help achieve levelness, straightness and correct measurements for each piece getting welded per blueprint.
Set up welding equipment and adjust settings to achieve precise welds.
Inspect welded joints for accuracy, strength, and potential defects.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
Operate forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any issues to supervisors
Flexible in their responsibilities. Cutting up raw materials, building crates, and building maintenance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in welding steel and stainless steel, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
Strong knowledge of MIG and TIG.
Ability to use measuring tools, grinders, saws, and other metalworking equipment.
Understanding safety regulations and best practices in welding.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
Certification in welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy materials.
