JOB DESCRIPTION: Job consists of painting auto parts. Also includes, repairing vehicle bodies, reassembling the parts after painting.
SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include performing minor body repairs. Color matching and painting. Must be able to work well in a team environment, provide outstanding customer service, and follow workplace cleanliness, organization, and process standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages
Vehicle prep, Wet sanding, buffing experience.
Complete all paint preparation processes for vehicles by following written repair order.
Sanding and buffing to ensure paint finish meets quality standards.
Clean, wax, polish and refurbish vehicles.
Utilize air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc.
Return the vehicle back to factory specifications.
Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body.
Can properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair
Replace bolts on panels and align properly.
Make cosmetic repairs
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
1-4 years body shop experience strongly preferred.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Clean and valid driver’s license.
Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills required.
