We are looking for a personal aide who knows how to do standing transfers from the chair to the bed, from the bed to the shower chair, and from the shower chair to the wheelchair. Must have strength, confidence, and willingness to be a team player. The morning shifts are Monday through Sunday, starting at approximately 10 AM and lasting for 2 to 3 hours. There are also four evening shifts available. Evening shifts begin approximately 9:45 PM and finish approximately 10:45 PM. This schedule is flexible depending on your situation and qualifications. In the interview process the schedule will be discussed in depth and worked out at that time. You must also have to know how to deal with catheters and care.
Other duties include stretching, showering, dressing and organization. This might include going to medical appointments occasionally and home duties such as cleaning, washing and preparing food.
You will need previous experience and it would help if you have done private duty care in the past. Private Duty means understanding how much you are needed to show up on time as agreed.
