Delicatessen Services Co., LLCOverview:The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and developing Business Intelligence solutions against high-volume data sources in a full SDLC/Agile environment. This position works closely with the BI Architect to design end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions including data models, data flow design and Business Intelligence/OLAP applications, as well as enterprise reporting. The Reporting Analyst assists with defining the methodology, standards and practices for implementing Business Intelligence solutions and develops appropriate documentation on projects, as well as ensuring that business requirements are adequately understood and documented. The primary purpose of the position is to support Boar's Head critical data analytic and real time requirements through Oracle Business Intelligence application with a core focus on the design and build phase of the SDLC.Job Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities Core Development Activities- Highly proficient in developing OBIEE Stacks according to technical design documentation.
- New Development of streaming jobs using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Clickhouse columnar database.
- Support production deployed BI code.
- Analyze information requirements specified by business users and analysts and design the data structures to support these requirements.
- Analyze and deal with database performance issues.
- Possible occasional use of BI Publisher.
- Can be asked to work with end users to assist in report and dashboard development.
- Contribute to current BI Team process creation and evolution.
- Contribute to Core Business Systems Development operational procedures for reporting and analytics.
- Work with business analysts, RPMO, and business to understand requirements and deliver scalable technical designs. Present and achieve signoff on technical designs.
- Contribute to and follow Best Practices in design, development, deployment, security frame work.
- Prepare weekly timesheets and status reports to management in addition to maintaining a work task list ensuring deliverables are met as scheduled and committed.
- Provide on call rotational support of critical business applications as scheduled and required in a professional and business-like manner.
- Demonstrate ability aptitude in logical and analytical thinking, as well as display strong problem solving skills with experience in using diagnostic tools.
- Learn and continue to gain business operations knowledge.
- Communicate product readiness, level of quality, and results to project team members.
- Effectively communicates complex business and technical information to various audience levels including senior management, business community and staff members.
- Coordinates and performs production release activities such as code migrations as necessary to support business requirements and operations schedules.
- Meets project deadlines and focuses on a task until it is complete by managing personal workload.
- Other project and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.
- Develop and enhance working knowledge of BH office and plant procedures and conventions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required Advanced Degree in Computer Science an added advantage.
- Ten plus (10+) years' experience in all the above-mentioned functions, with development experience in Oracle OBIEE 12c, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, Oracle database 12c, Oracle ODI.
- Must Have
- Experience in using Oracle EBS R12 as data source to stream data into OBIEE data warehouse.
- Experience in Oracle BI Server, Oracle BI Answers, Oracle BI Interactive Dashboard, Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle BI RPD development, OBIEE meta data repositories, OBIEE report migration.
- Experience streaming data using Apache Kafka.
- Experience in design, development, and deployment of Oracle ODI ETL components and migration to streaming technologies.
- Experience in data modeling including dimensional modeling (star schema) and normalized modeling using commercial tools.
- Good experience in Oracle database is a must. Knowledge in materialized views, views, tables, synonyms, constraints, ER-models, data referential integrities, database links, grants, privileges, and Oracle meta data repositories like DBA, ALL tables.
- Knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL, query performance tuning.
- Experience with OBIEE security setup and maintenance.
- Preferrable
- Experience streaming data using Apache Flink and Clickhouse columnar database are favorable.
- Knowledge in Linux/Unix commands to be able to do necessary configuration, setup, tuning, and support work on linux server.
- Well-developed communication skills - oral, written, listening. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- This position requires working in an office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- This is primarily a first shift position but adjustments to shift start/end times may be required depending on future production support schedules.
- Availability for on-call during non-business hours is required.
- After-hours and weekend work is required for system troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
